Happy World Hijab Day!

Veiled Beaut is proud to celebrate World Hijab Day! Today, we acknowledge the lifestyle chosen by millions of women around the world. Alongside this, it is an opportunity for ALL women to walk in the shoes of hijab-wearing women with the intention of promoting religious tolerance and understanding from Muslims to non-Muslims alike. We are proud to encourage this year’s motto, “Unity in Diversity” by speaking about gaining opportunities as a professional while observing hijab.    We want to have a fair chance, just like everybody else, and to some hijab can be seen as an obstacle to the opportunities we seek. We’ve all been there, and we understand these hurdles all too personally, but along the way we’ve come...

NY Modest Fashion Expo

Salaam, VB headed to New York this past weekend to attend the first ever NY Modest Fashion Expo. The expo took place on Sunday from 12-6pm hosted by Al-Shams Islamic Apparel and showcased over a dozen Muslim brands. Attendees had the opportunity to shop, get to know these brands better, and of course, enjoy some refreshments. Although VB didn’t set up shop for the day, we explored, networked, and did some shopping of our own. Ramadan Blog Post- Last Ashra

Salaam to our lovely VB family, We’ve now entered the last ten days of Ramadan- also known as the days where our mosques are overcrowded, and our nights become restless. However, as tiring and overwhelming as these days may be, they’re also the most beloved to us. So, what can we do to make the most of these days? Observe itikaf: One of the greatest acts of sunnah during the last ten days of Ramadan is the observance of itikaf. The Prophet (pbuh) would go into seclusion and spend the last ten nights in prayer, worship, and reflection. We know this might be tricky with busy schedules but now is the time to remember our purpose in this dunya, it...

Ramadan Blog Post- Second Ashra

Salaam, Subhan’Allah, we’ve already entered the second ten days of this blessed month. Let this serve as a reminder for us that our life is bound to pass as quickly as we experience this month so we must make the most of our time in this dunya. May Allah put barakah in our efforts and our time, ameen. We normally witness a surge of people the first few nights of Ramadan, a dip in the middle, and then an increase once again towards Laila-tul-Qadr. However, we should really aim to keep up our dedication and passion throughout the middle as well due to its incredible significance of achieving Allah’s maghfirah (forgiveness). The Prophet (P.B.U.H) has said: “Do repent in this...
